This Privacy Policy (this “Policy“) describes Meco Corporation’s collection, processing and use of customer, mobile application user, and website visitor information (collectively, “personal information” or “data”) when you interact with or use Meco customer service, promotions, mobile applications, social media and websites (collectively, “Applications”). This Privacy Policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their “Personally Identifiable Information” (“PII”) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and with respect to information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context, and is included in the term “personal information” herein. Meco wants you to be confident that your personal information is being handled securely and give you an opportunity to contact us with privacy-related inquiries and requests. Please read this Policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your personal information.
Data Privacy Rights and Inquiries
Where required by applicable law, you have a right to request access to your personal information, to request a correction to it if you believe it is inaccurate, or exercise certain other rights that may apply. If you have submitted personal information to Meco and would like to exercise such rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We may require you to verify your identity before we provide you with access to your personal information. We will use reasonable efforts to comply with your requests; however, in some cases we may not be able to allow you to access certain personal information (for example if it contains personal information of other persons, or for legal reasons). In such cases, we will provide you with a reasonable explanation of why it is not possible to grant access to your personal information.
How do we protect your information?
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities, including, but not limited to, Malware, in order to make your visit to our site as safe as reasonably possible.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.
Meco implements reasonable technical and organizational security measures, including physical, organizational and technological protection, (such as the use of SSL encryption for certain components of the Applications described herein) to help protect personal information against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or attacks by unauthorized persons. Our security measures are improved as new technologies become available and following our regular review of our current data security, access and protection practices. Personal information may be accessed by persons within our organization, or our third-party service providers, who require such access to carry out the purposes indicated above, or such other purposes as may be permitted or required by the applicable law.
Although we have taken measures to help protect our Applications, computer systems and any personal information that we have collected from unauthorized use, access, disclosure, misuse, alteration or destruction, no security measures can provide absolute protection. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us.
Cross-Border Data Transfer

Additionally, we may disclose your personal information for any other purpose to which you consent.
We disclose your personal information to external entities to perform security, maintenance, data storage, data processing, analytics, customer service and other services for us and in order to provide you the best support possible. In such cases, we establish by contract that these entities may access your personal information only for the purposes of performing those services. Also, we reserve the right to transfer any personal information we have about you in the event that we merge with or are acquired by a third party or should any such transaction be proposed.
The Applications may contain links to other third-party websites, or feature tools and services that are operated by third parties, as described above. These other websites and providers may have their own privacy policies and terms and conditions that are not governed by this Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any website(s) owned and operated by any such third parties. Fair Information Practices and Your Rights
The Fair Information Practice Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information. In order to comply with Fair Information Practices we will notify you of a data breach via email within seven (7) business days. We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.
Your principal rights under data protection law are:
- the right to access;
- the right to rectification;
- the right to erasure;
- the right to restrict processing;
- the right to object to processing;
- the right to data portability;
- the right to complain to a supervisory authority; and
- the right to withdraw consent.
You have the right to confirmation as to whether we process your personal information and, where and how we access your personal information, together with certain additional information. That additional information includes details of the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal information concerned and the recipients of the personal information. Providing the rights and freedoms of others are not affected, we will supply to you a copy of your personal information upon request. The first copy will be provided free of charge, but additional copies may be subject to a reasonable fee. You can access your personal information by using the Applications when logged in or by contacting us.
You have the right to have any inaccurate personal information about you rectified and, taking into account the purposes of the processing, to have any incomplete personal information about you completed.
In some circumstances you have the right to the erasure of your personal information without undue delay. Those circumstances include: the personal information is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed; you withdraw consent to consent-based processing; you object to the processing under certain rules of applicable data protection law; the processing is for direct marketing purposes; and the personal information has been unlawfully processed. However, there are exclusions of the right to erasure. The general exclusions include where processing is necessary: for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information; for compliance with a legal obligation; or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
In some circumstances you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal information. Those circumstances are: you contest the accuracy of the personal information; processing is unlawful but you oppose erasure; we no longer need the personal information for the purposes of our processing, but you require personal information for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims; and if you have objected to processing, pending the verification of that objection. Where processing has been restricted on this basis, we may continue to store your personal information. However, we will only otherwise process it: with your consent; for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims; for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person; or for reasons of important public interest.
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information on grounds relating to your particular situation, but only to the extent that the legal basis for the processing is that the processing is necessary for: the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of any official authority vested in us; or the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or by a third party. If you make such an objection, we will cease to process the personal information unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes (including profiling for direct marketing purposes). If you make such an objection, we will cease to process your personal information for this purpose.
You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information for scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes on grounds relating to your particular situation, unless the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out for reasons of public interest.
To the extent that the legal basis for our processing of your personal information is your consent or that the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and such processing is carried out by automated means, you have the right to receive your personal information from us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. However, this right does not apply where it would adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.
If you believe that our processing of your personal information infringes data protection laws, you have a legal right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority responsible for data protection. You may do so in the EU member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
To the extent that the legal basis for our processing of your personal information is your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
For your protection, we may require proof and verification of identity and jurisdiction of residency before we can answer the above requests. If you wish to make such a request, you may contact us at the applicable mobile application support email indicated herein or in the Application. If we change or delete your personal information or if you decline to actively share certain personal information with us, we may not be able to provide you with our services or some of the features and functionality of our Applications. Once we have verified that you own the account, we will honor such requests at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law.
Device permissions:
Mobile platforms have permission systems for specific types of device data and notifications, such as camera and microphone as well as push notifications. Where applicable, you can change your settings on your device to either consent or oppose the collection of the corresponding information or the display of the corresponding notifications. Depending on the manner in which you make changes to your settings, certain services may lose partial or full functionality.
Uninstall:
You can stop all information collection by Applications by disabling call forwarding and deactivating your account by following the instructions on the Application’s settings screen and then uninstalling the Applications using the standard uninstall process for your device. If you uninstall the Applications from your mobile device, the unique identifier associated with your device will continue to be stored. If you reinstall the Applications on the same mobile device, we will be able to re-associate this identifier to your previous transactions and activities.
Email:
You may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails or you can contact us at [email protected]. Opting out of newsletters and marketing emails will not affect communication via email or telephone relating to your orders.
Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, when we enable you to create a profile, and share information such as messages, photos, and videos with others, we cannot control the actions of others with whom you may choose to share your pages and information.

- Portability: in certain circumstances, exercise the right to data portability (this is a right to obtain a transferable version of your personal information to transfer to another provider); and

In addition, you may contact us to request that we not disclose your personal information to third parties (other than those that are acting as our agent to perform tasks on our behalf, such as data processors). Keep in mind, we may reject requests for certain reasons, including if the request is unlawful or if it may infringe on the rights and freedoms of another person. For example, we may not be able to accommodate certain requests to object to the processing of personal information, notably where such requests would not allow us to provide our services to you anymore. For your protection, we may require proof of identity and verification before we can answer the foregoing requests.
Legal basis for processing data:
In some cases, we have a legitimate interest to process the personal information that we collect, such as to develop, administer and support our products and services; to operate, evaluate and improve our business; to facilitate and manage engagement programs; to promote research; to support our recruitment activities; or to facilitate a corporate transaction (including a sale of assets or merger or acquisition). In other cases, we process personal information to fulfill our contracts with business partners, such as third parties that distribute our products. It may also be necessary for us to process personal information to establish, exercise or defend against fraud, illegal activity, and claims and other liabilities, including by enforcing the Terms and Conditions that govern the services we provide. Our processing of certain information may be necessary to comply with our legal obligations, and for reasons of public interest, such as with respect to adverse events and product safety reporting. We may also process personal information as specifically permitted by applicable legal requirements. If we rely on consent for the processing of your personal information, we will seek such consent at the time we collect your personal information.
International data transfers:
We may transfer your personal information to countries other than the country in which the data was originally collected for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. For example, if you are located outside of the United States, we may transfer your personal information to the United States, where Meco is headquartered. The countries to which we transfer personal information may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer personal information across borders, we consider a variety of requirements that may apply to such transfers. Specifically, we may transfer personal information from the European Economic Area to: (a) countries that the European Commissions has deemed to adequately safeguard personal information; (b) pursuant to the recipient’s compliance with standard contractual clauses (also known as Model Clauses), EU-US Privacy Shield, or Binding Corporate Rules; (c) pursuant to the consent of the individual to whom the personal information pertains; or (d) as otherwise permitted by applicable EEA requirements. Residents of the EEA or the UK may submit a request as indicated above.
